Payout of the federal fee cap

The federal government has decided to provide citizens with an amount of 150 million euros to cushion inflation. The money is paid out to households via the states and municipalities.

 

In the Melk district, a total of €1,312,260 will be distributed between the municipalities by the state of Lower Austria according to the population ratio. In our community, €18,112.00 will be returned to citizens and households.

In order to ensure efficient processing, the municipalities have commissioned GVU Melk to issue credits as part of the regulation of garbage fees. The citizens of our community will receive their money credited as part of the GVU Melk's quarterly payment on May 15, 2024.
