  • Carnival parade 2025 18/02/2025 Carnival parade 2025

This year's carnival parade in the market town of Klein-Pöchlarn took place on February 15, 2025.

Numerous fools took part again. It started at the town hall with the local councillors' laboratory. We then went to the Lagler market garden and the NVZ, where the Mistlbacher bakery provided us with food and the companies WS Technik and Spar Marek provided us with drinks. We continued to the Pizzeria La Luna, which provided us with excellent food. The next stop was at our gas station (Hahn) before the carnival parade moved on to master painter Ronald Thir. There was also food and drink here.

We celebrated the end of the parade in the festival hall. The Klein-Pöchlarn village renewal association, which took over the community key on November 11th, 2024, ceremoniously returned the key to our mayor. This year, the SPÖ Klein-Pöchlarn thankfully took over the bar.

    Crowning conclusion

This year's children's holiday games entered their final round with bright sunshine and lots of good spirits. The crowning conclusion was a happy closing party, which caused enthusiasm among young and old alike. The program included a huge bouncy castle, an exciting bungee trampoline and numerous skill games in which the children could put their talents to the test.

Physical well-being was also well taken care of: the local councilors treated the guests to chips, ice cream, cake and refreshing drinks. Parents, organizers and children enjoyed an unforgettable afternoon together that was characterized by joy, fun and solidarity.

With many wonderful memories in our luggage, we say goodbye to the children for a new school year and wish them a successful start. We are already looking forward to the next children's holiday games, which will provide exciting adventures again in two years!

  • Children's holiday games - Rescue dogs 21/08/2024 Children's holiday games - Rescue dogs

The pensioners' association invited us to an unforgettable morning with the rescue dogs - an experience that caused great enthusiasm among all participants. Under the expert guidance of Martina Kyzlink and her dedicated team, we immersed ourselves in the exciting world of rescue dogs. First, we were taught how to properly handle the dogs, which was not only instructive but also fascinating. What was particularly exciting was the moment when we packed a rescue dog handler's backpack together and got to know the important pieces of equipment that are essential during operations.

A special highlight of the day was the obstacle course, which we completed together with the dogs. We were all deeply impressed by the animals' skill and enthusiasm. The highlight, however, was undoubtedly the exciting search for hidden children, during which the rescue dogs demonstrated their outstanding skills and amazed us.

A big thank you goes to the pensioners' association, who always make this valuable experience possible. We would also like to thank Martina Kyzlink and her wonderful team for always taking the time to enrich us with their expertise and passion for rescue dogs. It was a day full of impressions that we will remember for a long time.

Under the expert guidance of the pizza master, each child was allowed to create their own pizza. The little young bakers got to work with great enthusiasm and a lot of creativity. After the pizzas were baked in the oven, each child received their homemade creation and was able to taste it with pride. An all-round successful day that the children will certainly remember for a long time.

On Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, the USV Klein-Pöchlarn invited children and parents alike to a particularly varied day of exercise as part of the children's holiday games. The program started at 10 a.m. with an energetic warm-up exercise that Franz Schuster had prepared especially for the young participants. After warming up together, the children had a choice of various exciting activities. They could take part in a soccer match in groups. Those who wanted to test their dexterity and endurance could let off steam on the obstacle course and overcome the various obstacles. The bouncer was also particularly popular, where the children could test their jumping power and reaction speed. The bouncy castle and face painting made the little ones' eyes light up. • Children's Holiday Games - From Seed to Harvest 13/07/2024 Children's Holiday Games - From Seed to Harvest

There was a lot to discover on Monday, July 8, 2024 at the event "From Seed to Harvest". First, the children were divided into two groups. The first group first picked flowers and then started to design their own arrangement with the flowers for the dining table. This resulted in really beautiful and colorful works of art. The second group planted their own vegetables (peppers, cucumbers) for the snack. These young plants were then allowed to be taken home.

Many thanks to the Lagler nursery for the unforgettable morning. It was a lot of fun.

Review of the children's holiday games of the Musikverein Klein-Pöchlarn
The children's holiday games of the Musikverein Klein-Pöchlarn were a complete success again this year! The event began with an exciting welcome by the YoungStars, who put the children in the mood for an exciting mission.
The YoungStars welcomed the children with the following text:Welcome to the children's holiday games of the Musikverein Klein-Pöchlarn!

Are you willing to help us save our concert? Do you want to know what happened?
Once upon a time there was a small, peaceful place called Klein-Pöchlarn.The residents were very much looking forward to the summer concert of the YoungStars of the Musikverein. But this year something terrible happened. A sinister gang of villains called "The Clay Robbers" suddenly appeared and kidnapped all the musicians!
Without our YoungStars, however, the summer concert cannot take place!
We now need your help to save our summer concert!
The clay robbers have taken the YoungStars to various locations around the ballroom and imposed chains on each individual. Only the smartest and bravest among you can free the YoungStars. You have to solve the puzzles of each captured YoungStar to destroy the chains and free the musicians.

At the end of the mission, the joy was great: The YoungStars were finally free again! As a thank you for the great support, they performed two rousing songs that rounded off the morning perfectly. The beaming faces of the children and the proud applause of the parents were the best reward for the efforts.

A heartfelt thank you goes to the music youth of the association, who made this unforgettable morning possible. We are already looking forward to the next children's holiday games!

An unforgettable day at the children's holiday games in the Lebensfreude pharmacy in Pöchlarn
On July 29th, 2024 we were able to experience a very special day at the children's holiday games. The Lebensfreude pharmacy in Pöchlarn opened its doors and invited us on an exciting journey of discovery. The friendly team gave us a warm welcome and led us in two groups through areas of the pharmacy that customers don't normally see.
Our curiosity was piqued when the various devices were explained to us and we were able to take a look through the microscope. We learned many interesting things about different herbs and their uses.
The highlight of the day, however, was getting involved yourself. We enthusiastically made herbal salt, bath bombs, lip balm, insect roll-on and even chocolate in suppository form. We were proud to take these homemade products home with us.
This day was really special and will certainly be remembered for a long time. A big thank you to the team at the Lebensfreude pharmacy for making this unforgettable program possible for us.

  • Danube Country Festival 2022 19/06/2024 Danube Country Festival 2022

Donauländerfestival - A festival that connects

The Danube Country Festival, which took place for the first time in 2012, took place on June 3rd and 4th this year. The festival, which was launched to provide a platform for regional musicians and to strengthen the community of clubs, was once again able to impress with its offerings.

    Varied program

Five music groups offered the audience a varied program. This offer was rounded off with a wide range of culinary delights, most of which were offered by our local clubs. It's always nice to see how harmoniously the clubs work together. And that we have created a festival that, like our market festival in the past, lures visitors out of their living rooms at home. We were overwhelmed by the large number of people who came to Klein-Pöchlarn, despite the various festivals in the area.

After a two-year break due to the pandemic, our Danube areas were finally filled with life and good music again.

    Thanks

Without the many hard-working hands, the numerous sponsors and the forgiving neighbors, an event in this form would not be possible. We would like to express our thanks to all of you.

If you missed the two-day festival or would like to reminisce again, you can view many more photos in our photo gallery on our homepage www.kleinpoechlarn.at.

    Save the date

So that you don't miss this spectacle next year, it's best to note down the date June 4th and 5th, 2023 today.
