Successful day of the open sewage treatment plant of the Southern Waldviertel Municipal Wastewater Association in Klein-Pöchlarn attracts numerous visitors

In bright sunshine, the sewage treatment plant of the Southern Waldviertel Municipal Wastewater Association in Klein-Pöchlarn opened its doors to interested citizens on Saturday, April 13th, 2024. Around 160 people accepted the invitation and were inspired by the fascinating insights into the world of wastewater treatment.

The day was opened by association chairman Ing. Johannes Weiß, who warmly welcomed the visitors and set the mood for an informative tour of the facility. The guests were then personally guided through the various areas of the sewage treatment plant in groups by the two sewage attendants Martin Peböck and Günter Schachenhofer. They gained exciting insights into the processes of wastewater treatment and learned interesting facts about the importance of efficient wastewater treatment technology for the environment and the health of the population.

Meanwhile, the Klein-Pöchlarn Music Association provided visitors with delicious food and refreshing drinks to ensure their physical well-being.

The day of the open sewage treatment plant in Klein-Pöchlarn was not only an opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of an important facility, but also an opportunity for citizens to find out about environmental protection and wastewater treatment. We are pleased about the great interest and hope that this day has helped to further increase awareness of environmental issues.
