We are the Klein-Pöchlarn local group of the Austrian Pensioners Association:
The Lower Austria Pensioners Association introduces itself!
Hand on heart: Isn’t the Lower Austria Pensioners’ Association (PVNÖ) a really “cool” one?
Club?! Always nearby, always active and assertive! Who at the PVNÖ
is there, knows the many advantages.
As the largest pensioner organization in the state of Lower Austria with almost 80,000 members and over 5,000 voluntary representatives in the districts and local groups, we have a large and stable structure. Our 80,000 PVÖ members know best what it means to be in the PVNÖ: You can simply go to your local group/district organization, have a chat or get advice; go on an excursion, a trip that only exists at the PVÖ. You can keep moving without pressure to perform. But with even more fun and a sense of community. And: The PVNÖ stands up for the interests of its members!
Being at the PVÖ means... ...that there is always something going on - socializing and entertainment included! ... enjoy a diverse program in your local group/district group. ... to benefit from the PVÖ advantage club: discounted tickets and entrance fees, ... to belong to an assertive interest group!Senior sports Sports - 250 sports groups offer sports for free or at favorable conditionsLeisure club with offers for shared leisureCulture - Creative 50 PlusA fast-paced and informative members' magazine delivered to your home every month to receive.Seniors' travel - service and price-performance ratio that is uniqueHelp in social issues - pensions, care, inheritance law, consumer protection, housing We are open to you, we take care of your problemsThe "Seniors' Aid" campaign supports members who are in need through no fault of their own
Sociopolitical task of the PVNÖ
Our association has a major socio-political task and responsibility. As a self-help organization for older people - in the border area with the actual social services - we want to make a significant contribution to physical and mental health through self-activation and mobilization.
This activity is carried out voluntarily and free of charge in Lower Austria in around 400 local organizations and 200 clubs, as well as in 250 sports groups, with a lot of love and commitment by around 5,000 officials. We also launched a Lower Austria leisure club and Kreativ 50plus. With a variety of social, entertaining and educational events in around 32,000 meetings, we reach around 750,000 participants throughout Lower Austria every year. A very important area of our association is advisory work and contributions to development in the social sector, such as on-site care and free representation, for example in arbitration proceedings.
Political representation of the older generation
In addition to these tasks by people for people, the political representation of the older generation is becoming increasingly important. At a time when the income gap is widening and the gap between rich and poor is increasing worldwide, and the social climate is no longer as self-evident as it once was, one of the PVÖ's great challenges is to maintain social balance in society .
