• 08/01/2023 New Year's reception 2023

  Mayor Ing. Johannes Weiß welcomed over 150 visitors to the Klein-Pöchlarn ballroom after a 2-year break due to Corona. At the New Year's reception in 2020, we didn't think that the next few years would affect our lives so much. But now we can hold the New Year's reception again in the usual form.

  
  

  Mayor Ing. Johannes Weiß started the program with a look back at the years 2020 to 2022 and reviewed projects, events and road construction measures. He also gave a rough outlook on what projects and road construction measures await us in 2023. But events such as the Danube Country Festival and the club competitions are also back in the event calendar. Due to the two-year break, the local council was able to congratulate on a particularly large number of club and company awards.

  
  

  The Klein-Pöchlarn local group pensioners' association and the Volkshaus association can look back on 60 years of association history and the volunteer fire department has been serving the population around the clock for 140 years. Michaela Wagner was also thanked for her 12 years as chairwoman of the music association, which she completed at the beginning of 2022. Gerald Steiner was also brought to the fore for his involvement as the former chairman of the village renewal association.

  
  

  Between 2020 and 2022, some local businesses also celebrated their anniversary, and they were also congratulated by Mayor Ing. Johannes Weiß and Deputy Mayor Wolfgang Eder.

  With his closing words, Mayor Ing. Johannes Weiß put the people of Klein-Pöchlarn in a positive mood for the new year. He also expressed his thanks to the theater board for the hospitality at the New Year's reception and to the students and the music school director of the Nibelungengau music school for the musical accompaniment.
