Dear community residents,
As you can see from current media reports, extreme storms have reached us and the Danube water level is rising. The forecast is for around 720 cm in Ybbs (corresponds to a roughly 10-year flood event).
The rain will only ease in a few hours.
The water level of the Mühlbach and Thalheimbach is also being continuously monitored by the volunteer fire brigade.
Our fire brigade started work on Friday and has already carried out individual operations for the population.
There are also already roadblocks on federal highway 3 (towards Marbach and Emmersdorf). We ask for your understanding.
The Melk district authority declared a state of emergency in all communities in the Melk district at 9:15 a.m. this morning. We have therefore also posted this announcement on the official noticeboard.
There is currently no danger from the Danube and the streams in our community. The water levels of the streams are constantly monitored. The volunteer fire department will handle all future necessary operations.
